AirLight II from ABTSound is a simple but effective playlist driven radio playout system for educational and small community broadcasting use.
In AirLight II audio files can be assembled into a playlist by drag & drop from the source folder. They can be reordered as required and then played out to air in the arranged sequence. Playlists may be composed of audio files from several different source directories. They can also be compiled during rehearsal and saved so that they can be recalled for transmission at a later time. Using the file management screen, Cue or Script material can be created and embedded in the audio files (either wav or mp3 ). These cues are then displayed on the screen when each file reaches the top of the playlist, forming a simple but effective autocue system. |
| AirLight II is compatible with "Adobe Audition" and the earlier "Cool Edit" audio editing systems,and is also compatible with the open source "Audacity" editor, enabling audio files to be edited and returned to the playlist without leaving the program.
A PreFade Listen button beside each item enables the operator to check any file before transmission. Automated fader start, using our custom hardware interface via the USB port, provides convenient operation and avoids the hassle of using a mouse during live transmission. |
